Easy Meditation & Mindfulness Technique : All it takes is 5 mins

Finding the right technique or method can be a task. Especially, with the plethora of information available out there, the endless trials and errors leave us feeling even more confused than we started. Some techniques feel good, while the others spark our curiosity, some feel calming, while others get us all charged up - while we embark on this spiritual path, we do know that regular practice is what will take us to that Divine nectar. We feel it in our bones, that doing a practice daily will open more doors and take us closer to the soul. We have felt it in bits and pieces, and are hungry for more - and when we become hungry, we end up exploring and learning more and more!

Quick Meditation Technique

But meditation and mindfulness, is all about letting go. So, the more we hold on to the feeling of awakening, the more it will go away from us. Because nothing but bliss is permanent, and thats how our mind should be, calm, peaceful and aware of itself. So here is a simple technique that you can do anytime during the day, and make it a regular practice.

Find a comfortable place to sit, spine erect, and eyes gently closed. Start with taking three deep breaths, and with every exhale, repeat ' I let go, I release the stress, I relax'. With every inhale say ' Im taking in Divine love and purity' and then just sit and do nothing at all, no visualisation, no focussing on third eye, no white light - NOTHING at all. Just focus on being still for the next 5 mins.

You can use a timer, and gradually increase this from 5 mins to 10 mins. It does not need any mantra or chanting, or visualisation. This practice just helps you be with yourself. Every time you get a thought, dont look at it as distraction instead just observe it. Initially, you will feel pain in your body for being still, or some resistance, but all you need is to observe it and release it gently. Just let go.

This is called effortless meditation, it does not need your conscious effort to do anything at all. It is also surrender meditation, where you surrender to Divine, knowing He is capable of calibrating you. Every time you feel it takes effort, just feel your breath, and know that you are widening your conscious, just by being still, and letting go all the effort.

You will find in one week of doing this, your focus and strength improves, you will also see yourself more calm and clear. Its like the meditation of surrender gives you the gift of being in calm control of your life!
